'I am strong enough to stand alone, but wise enough to ask for help'
Fabulous is delighted to be stocking a necklace to raise money for, and awareness of, MIND, the mental health charity. The necklace is created by Mantra Jewllery, which is one of Fabulous' regular brands.
Mantra creates meaningful jewellery designed to uplift and inspire, drawing on the power of words combined with the beauty of jewellery. Each piece of jewellery represents a mantra, or positive affirmation, intended to be brought to mind when wearing the jewellery.
Owner and founder Jo Stroud is a firm believer in the power of words, and the positive impact mantras can have on the way that you feel. "I believe mantras change mindset. They bring motivation, they strengthen resolve, they give focus, they inspire and uplift. Most powerfully of all, they bring self-belief."
The new necklace, in aid of MIND, carries the powerful word, 'Strength', alongside the iconic lotus symbol, which represents regeneration and rising through difficulty. The mantra on the accompanying card is, 'I am strong enough to stand alone, but wise enough to ask for help'.
Jo explains the significance of this:
"Many people will experience mental illness in their lives, or times when they don't feel mentally strong or emotionally resilient. We want to remind people that they are stronger than they realise, but also to encourage them to talk about their feelings, and seek help. When people share their struggles and support each other, life gets much easier and difficulties more manageable."
MIND supports and champions people with mental illnesses, working as both support service and campaigning organisation. The charity has a key aim of encouraging people to talk about mental illness, by finding the right words, and by removing the stigma.
The 'ask for help' message from Mantra Jewellery resonates powerfully with MIND, whose core belief is that 'No one should have to face a mental health problem alone'.
The Sterling Silver disc necklace is £35, with 25% of the selling price donated to MIND (Registered Charity Number 219830). It is also available in 18ct Rose or Yellow Gold plated onto Silver, priced at £55 - also with 25% donated to MIND.
The necklace has its official launch on World Mental Health Day, on Tuesday 10th October where it will be available to purchase from Fabulous, Poplar Arcade, Touchwood.
