It may only be October, but Touchwood is gearing up for the return of its iconic polar bear, Presley, and this year, he is calling on local children to help create a hat and scarf to keep him warm during the festive season ahead.
Presley has become immensely popular with families from around the region, all looking to have their photo taken with the cuddly creature. Ahead of his return this November, Touchwood is inviting local school children to help crochet a scarf and hat to take pride of place on Presley.
Those who participate will be challenged to crochet a patch, which will be sewn together to make a colourful and cuddly hat and scarf set for Presley, for all to see.
Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, comments: “Presley has sat at the heart of our Christmas celebrations for the past couple of years and we thought it would be fun for local school children to be able to start getting into the seasonal spirit and help keep him warm. We encourage all local schools to get in touch to find out how they can participate.”
