About Joanne Cox-Brown and Night Time Economy Management

I have worked in night-time economy management for over 12 years I was the Chief Executive of a charity set up to turn around the reputation of Nottingham City Centre at night and as part of this, I set up and ran a licensed premises and arts venue. After working there I was the night-time economy manager for Manchester, and have also been a Street Pastor and Safe Space Volunteer, so there is very little that I haven't seen before in terms of night time management. I'm also a fellow of the Institute of Place Management and a member of the Institue of Licensing.

Night Time Economy Solutions was set up nearly 4 years ago, we are passionate about helping towns and cities become safer, vibrant and more attractive at night. We specialise in designing creative solutions to emerging and enduring problems of safety and vibrancy in the night-time economy. We work with towns and cities to do things such as night time audits, write night time strategies, apply for accreditation schemes like Purple Flag, Pubwatch and Best Bar None and run training for venues in a variety of topics such as vulnerability management. We've worked with areas such as Brixton, Wakefield, Leicester, Manchester, Torquay, Nottingham and have also performed work for the Institute of Licensing, the Home Office and the Local Government Association.
