Solihull town centre jumped and jived to the sounds of jazz weekend at a music extravaganza.
The Solihull ‘Sort Of’ Jazz Festival took place at 17 different venues across the town centre and featured 28 bands and solo artists at bars, restaurants and the Mell Square Stage.
The event, arranged by Solihull BID, was described as the biggest celebration of young music talent in the history of the Jazz Festival.
It took place alongside the BID’s Jazzy Jungle Trail which saw families seeking animals on the trail for the chance of winning a £50 gift card to spend at The Entertainer in Touchwood.
Solihull BID were supported by street-food experts RR Events for the return of the always popular Continental Food & Drink Market in Mell Square, Mill Lane and High Street as part of the Jazz Festival.
Melanie Palmer, Chief Executive, Solihull BID, said: “This was the best-attended Jazz Festival to date, bringing additional footfall and spend to the town centre. It's always rewarding to see visitors enjoying the vibrancy that this event brings, a community coming together to have a super day out.
“The Jazz Festival is one of many events the BID arranges throughout the year. Keep an eye on the BID’s social media for the latest announcements.”
