Wednesday 28th November
Solihull Council and Solihull Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to an exclusive round table event to discuss the implications of the West Midlands Industrial Strategy and how it can help your business grow and succeed.
As one of the first areas in the country to deliver its own Local Industrial Strategy, the West Midlands is asking businesses for their views to help shape the future prosperity of the region. With more than £4.5billion of investment in infrastructure, skills training and housing already lined up for the region over the next decade and opportunities for a further £10billion, the Local Industrial Strategy will channel that investment so it generates the maximum benefit for both businesses and local people
The Strategy will guide policy and investment in important areas such as:
• What are the future growth opportunities for West Midlands businesses?
• Transport - how does current and future connectivity impact your business?
• Skills & Training - how can we tackle skills needs in your industry?
• Place - how do we promote the region to business and to attract and retain talent?
"The West Midlands Combined Authority, Local Enterprise Partnerships and local authorities have worked together to secure funding for our region and would welcome feedback from local businesses to understand how this can best be utilised. The Industrial Strategy aims to bring together public services, communities, training providers and businesses with a shared vision for inclusive growth, showing how Solihull can fulfil it's potential in a way that enables all our communities to benefit. All stakeholders are well aware they must meet the needs of local businesses to enable growth to benefit our local economy and community. The Chamber and Council are working together to host this event to allow the voice of local businesses to be heard."
Kevin Johns, Prime Accountants Group and President, Solihull Chamber of Commerce
