Boots Opticians Solihull is now closed.
At Boots, we have a strong and trusted heritage in supporting the healthcare of the nation, and we’ve always stepped up to support the community and the NHS.
We are working to support the Government and NHS to set up and resource new drive-through testing stations for COVID-19. Testing is specifically for NHS staff by invitation only, and trials have already been taking place on our site in Nottingham this week.
Seb James, Managing Director, Boots UK and ROI, said: “I am extremely proud that Boots is supporting COVID-19 testing for NHS workers. Boots has been at the heart of UK healthcare for 171 years and has always come forward to support the community in times of need.
“We will work with the NHS to recruit trained professionals – both Boots colleagues and from the wider community. I am sure there will be many trained healthcare clinicians and students, who will step forward to support our dedicated NHS colleagues.
“Locations are being defined but will be spread across the UK; they will not however be in Boots stores, allowing our colleagues to focus on supporting our customers and patients.”
The health, wellbeing and safety of our patients, their families and our people are our priority and always will be.
As you are aware, the COVID-19 situation changes daily, and new information is always being released. The Government guidance for dentistry is no different – and is constantly being updated to reflect the latest situation to ensure people are kept safe and well.
We understand the importance of offering a healthcare service to our patients, so in line with recent Government advice, we are ensuring that many of our practices are available to offer telephone support and advice to patients with urgent need. They can also direct you to the most appropriate support location if further care is needed.
Please search below to find out if your practice is offering the telephone support service. If you cannot speak to your normal practice, then please contact another practice in our network.
The surgery is currently closed and the only method of communication we have available is email.
We hope you stay well during this time and we will be in contact if anything changes.

If we can help with anything just get in touch!
Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the COVID-19 virus I felt it was important to reassure you that we are continuing to keep our practice clean and safe for both you and our team.
You will appreciate that as a dental practice we work in an environment where the prevention of the spread of a whole range of infections is woven into everything that we do.
Nevertheless, we are paying particular attention to the latest government guidance on the transmission of coronavirus.
Know the guidance.
Before attending the practice for your next appointment we would be grateful if you would review the most up to date government guidance – just click this link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

At your next appointment
Please use the hand sanitiser just inside the main doorway on entering and leaving the building.
Please forgive us if we don’t shake hands - but we are however happy to do the elbow bump - just ask!
You’ll notice that we’ve removed some non-essential items in the reception area including the magazines. They will return once this is all over!
As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue to provide our usual high standard of dental care for you.
Thank you for your support in keeping everyone safe.
IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES IT'S IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF HYGIENE.
ALL HEARING AID DISPENSERS TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY AND ALWAYS WORK TO THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF CLEANLINESS IN THEIR PRACTICES.
Many of the instruments used within Hearing Clinics are sterile and disposable. The equipment that isn't, is thoroughly cleaned with antibacterial cleaner before and after each person’s visit.
Open for essential and urgent eye or hearing care only.
What is emergency care?
Emergency care includes, but is not limited to, urgent clinical advice or intervention for conditions such as red eye, contact lens discomfort, foreign object in the eye, sudden change in vision, flashes and floaters which might suggest a retinal detachment, a frontline worker or an individual who is unable to work without their glasses and where a prescription that is fit for purpose isn’t in existence.
