Solihull-based Hayfield has made two promotions and two new appointments to significantly bolster its Customer Care team. The company secured a five-star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in March 2020, and was the winner of the Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative in the 2019 Housebuilder Awards, beating all other housebuilders in the process.
Jon Hawkins, who has been a Contracts Manager at Hayfield since 2018, has been promoted to Head of Customer Care. Marc Rose has been recruited as a New Home Technician. While Amie Harrison, who joined the company when it commenced trading in 2017, has been promoted to the department’s Administration Manager, with Sharon Law newly recruited to work alongside her as an Administrator.
Hayfield specialises in constructing luxury family houses. It has eight live sites - delivering a total of 554 new homes - in prime locations in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Wiltshire. The company is part-funded by global investors and a £85m cash injection is enabling Hayfield to commence construction at new developments at a time when many housebuilders have paused all new investment activity.
Mark Booth, Managing Director of Hayfield said: “Caring for our customers is the core strategy that runs through everything this business does and stands for. It is so rewarding to become a HBF five-star housebuilder and win the Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative at the Housebuilder Awards late last year. As we grow, we must be proactive to maintain our exceptionally high standards of service. So, with the number of our home completions rising this year, we have taken the opportunity to significantly bolster the department.
“Having previously been a Contracts Manager overseeing a number of our sites, Jon Hawkins has been promoted into a new role to head up this expanded, experienced and highly knowledgeable team. The whole department is working really well together to proactively and reactively ensure our homes are defect free for the two-year period after the completion date.”
Marc Rose, 38 has joined Hayfield from facilities management company P.W. Group Services, where he was a Building Supervisor. Marc worked at the company for 12 years on contracts at industrial facilities and with the Ministry of Defence. Prior to that he spent 10 years working for P. Reilly Property Maintenance.
Sharon Law, 47 brings over 20 years of industry experience to Hayfield. She joined from St Joseph Homes, and prior to that worked at Lovell Homes, Lendlease Crosby Homes and Knight Frank.
At the 2019 WhatHouse? Awards, held late last year, Hayfield was crowned Best Small Housebuilder. It won the same accolade at the 2019 Housebuilder Awards, and also scooped the prize for Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative. The company has also won three Pride in the Job NHBC Awards and the prize for Best Family Home under £750,000 at the 2019 Evening Standard New Homes Awards. At the 2019 Insider West Midlands Property Awards, Hayfield won Residential Developer of the Year.
Hayfield’s live sites include the flagship Hayfields scheme in Southmoor, Oxfordshire, which comprises 74 luxury houses. Also under construction in Oxfordshire is Hayfield Green, where 66 luxury houses and bungalows are being developed on a 21-acre former RAF WWII Airfield in this historic village of Stanton Harcourt. In the small market town of Southam in Warwickshire, the final phase of Hayfield Grange is selling ahead of the build programme. The popular development comprises 51 family houses and bungalows.
In Bedfordshire, Hayfield is under construction with 105 luxury houses and bungalows close to English Heritage’s Grade I listed Wrest Park Estate, which is in the sought-after village of Silsoe. Seven miles away, in the traditional village of Clifton, the Hayfield Gate development - comprising 95 luxury homes - has launched on an off-plan basis.
Hayfield has recently started construction work at a prestigious eight-acre residential site in the historic small town of Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire, where 53 luxury family homes will be delivered. In the picturesque and historic Wiltshire village of Blunsdon, Hayfield is underway developing 70 luxury homes, a new community shop and café.
