Hayfield prepares for rapid expansion with Head of Marketing appointment

Hayfield - the UK’s Best Small Housebuilder, has appointed Ranjit Kang as its national Head of Marketing.

Hayfield - the UK’s Best Small Housebuilder, has appointed Ranjit Kang as its national Head of Marketing. Ranjit will be responsible for the Solihull-headquartered developer’s online and offline campaigns and all marketing collateral to promote its live residential sites.

Hayfield specialises in constructing luxury family houses. It has six live sites - delivering a total of 430 new homes - located in prime locations in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The company is part-funded via investment from global investors and a recent £85m cash injection is enabling Hayfield to acquire a significant land bank.

46-year-old Mrs Kang has joined Hayfield from Kier Living, where she spent over five years as Regional Marketing Manager. Prior to that, she was Sales and Marketing Manager for Midland Heart, where she spent a total of eight years in various roles for the Registered Provider.

Ranjit has amassed over 20 years of experience in brand management, customer profiling, market research, show home and marketing suite fitouts and the design and print of a range of marketing collateral and signage. Her digital marketing skills include SEO, PPC, Google Display Network, mobile snapshots and advertising across all social media platforms.

Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayfield, said: “Hayfield has expanded at a rapid pace over recent months and we needed to bolster our marketing department at a senior level to reflect this. As we prepare to launch a handful of new sites later this year, we have taken the opportunity to look at our brand positioning and marketing collateral. Having Ranjit in place means that she can drive this forward at a strategic level.”

Ranjit Kang, Head of Marketing for Hayfield commented: “When I joined Kier Living in 2014, the business was at a similar size to Hayfield now. By the time I left Kier, there were 14 live sites and around 500 new homes being delivered each year. It is very exciting to join Hayfield at a point when the business is growing so rapidly. I am confident I can make a significant impact at both a strategic level, as well as with weekly visitor levels at each of our live development sites.”

At the 2019 WhatHouse? Awards, held late last year, Hayfield was crowned Best Small Housebuilder. It won the same accolade at the 2019 Housebuilder Awards, and also scooped the prize for Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative. The company has also won three Pride in the Job NHBC Awards and the prize for Best Family Home under £750,000 at the 2019 Evening Standard New Homes Awards. At the 2019 Insider West Midlands Property Awards, Hayfield won Residential Developer of the Year.

Hayfield’s live sites include the flagship Hayfields site in Southmoor, Oxfordshire, which comprises 74 luxury homes. Also under construction in Oxfordshire is Hayfield Green, where 66 luxury houses and bungalows are being developed on a 21-acre disused RAF WWII Airfield in this historic village of Stanton Harcourt. In the small market town of Southam in Warwickshire, the final phase of Hayfield Grange has just been released. The popular development comprises 51 family houses and bungalows.

In Bedfordshire, Hayfield is under construction with 105 luxury homes close to English Heritage’s Grade I listed Wrest Park Estate, which is in the sought-after village of Silsoe. Seven miles away, in the village of Clifton, the Hayfield Gate development is preparing to be launched, which comprises 95 luxury homes.

In Wiltshire, Hayfield has recently acquired a 16-acre development site in the village of Blunsdon to deliver a £29m residential scheme. While in the Cambridgeshire village of Great Gransden, a 4.4-acre site has also been acquired to deliver 40 new homes.
