Soak up the sounds of summer at Touchwood as an afternoon of Jazz music is hosted at the ‘Costa Del Solihull’ beach.

In partnership with Solihull BID’s Solihull 'Sort Of' Jazz Festival, Jazz Maestro Roy Forbes will be performing on Sunday, 21st July. Located on Touchwood’s urban beach in Theatre Square from 3-5pm, guests are encouraged to sit back and relax or show off their best dance moves as they enjoy Roy’s soulful sounds.

If that wasn’t enough toe-tapping, from 2-4pm on Sunday 28th July the Swing Café Band will also be on stage at Touchwood’s beach. Led by the popular Midlands vocalist Billie Baker, they will be playing popular acoustic arrangements of swing, jazz and rockability, with hits ranging from the 1920s to 1950s.

Lucy Burnett, Marketing Manager at Touchwood, said: “Our Costa del Solihull beach is always a popular event and we’re delighted to be adding musical treats to the programme this year. Join us for special jazz performances from Roy Forbes and the Swing Café Band to really get in the mood for summer!”

Organised by Solihull BID, the Solihull 'Sort Of' Jazz Festival brings live music, street food and entertainment to a variety of locations across the region. From Friday 19th – Sunday 21st July, guests are invited to enjoy the free programme of events, which includes The Whiskey Brothers at Revolution Solihull and Almaz at John Lewis.

Activities at the Touchwood beach throughout the summer also includes a mask making workshop, face-painting, a puppet show, dance performances and a safari jeep that’s perfect for selfies!
