Living Space Housing has appointed Paul Breen as its new Commercial Manager. Paul will head up the commercial function of the business, both pre and post contract.
Solihull-based Living Space is a development-led residential planning, design and construction services solution for Registered Providers, PRS Funds, the NHS, Universities and Defence Estates. Having launched to the market earlier this year, the company is already on site at its first two developments and has deals in place for a further three schemes. The combined construction value of its development portfolio is in excess of £27million, which equates to 166 new homes to the market.
Paul Breen has joined Living Space Housing from Shrewsbury-based RGB Group, where he held the position of Head of Commercial for nearly three and a half years. Prior to that he was employed as Bovis Homes’ Commercial Director and by Thomas Vale Construction as a Commercial Manager.

I have 20 years’ experience in the housebuilding and construction industry but have predominantly worked for large companies to date. Living Space is doing something really innovative and I was excited to take up this role and help shape the commercial function. I will be managing the financial aspects of projects and developing the formation of a commercial team.”
Living Space’s first two developments comprise 51 homes at Pixiefields in Cradley, on the outskirts of Malvern, Herefordshire and 45 homes at the former Victoria Carpets Sports Ground on the outskirts of Kidderminster town centre in Worcestershire. Both mixed-tenure schemes are in conjunction with leading affordable housing provider Stonewater, while Living Space’s remit covers all aspects of land acquisition, planning, development and construction.

We then reached the stage where we needed to recruit a team of senior managers to bring these developments forward. Paul has a very strong track record and excellent industry experience, so he has a lot to bring to this pivotal role.
“Paul and the wider team will be working to varying needs and specifications to deliver homes for rent, shared ownership, retirement living, as well as homes to be sold on the open market. We have 166 homes either under construction or in our immediate pipeline and are very excited about how quickly the company is growing.”
