At long last customers are now welcomed back to the Core Theatre Solihull after a long closure.

At long last customers are now welcomed back to the Core Theatre Solihull after a long closure.

Whilst social distancing may remain, most daily and weekly activities have now restarted including reopening  Encore Café bar which welcomes indoor dining with table service as well as the popular new takeaway service outside in Theatre Square.

The Box Office offer service with a smile as customers can buy tickets in person for the first time for over a year and staff are delighted to be once again selling tickets rather than refunding!

Classes and activities for adults and children are all back including; Stepping out, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Sing Solihull Community Choir plus children’s classes including holiday activities are all on sale.

Film will be offered for the first time – with special introductory ticket offers to give audiences the chance to check out the varied summer film programme.  The Core won’t be offering arthouse or new releases, but a varied programme of classic, quirky and interesting films worth a watch on big screen.

Summer Theatre shows including comedian Andrew Lawrence, who brings his Pale, Male and Stale Tour on Friday 2nd July, whilst King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys roar into town on Saturday 3rd July with their unique swing jazz.

The Opera Boys bring their popular choral show featuring Music from The Musicals on Thurs 8th July then the Theatre moves outdoors to Brueton Park for live outdoor shows - A Midsummer Nights Dream on Tues 20th July followed by two performances of Mr Stink on Tues 27th and Weds 28th July  both are lakeside and presented by Heartbreak Productions (bring your own seating) and are likely to sell out in advance.

The emphasis has been firmly on safety and customer confidence in bringing back these services, and whilst some rules are still in place, regular cleaning and fogging around the venue mean customers and participants can relax and enjoy their activities inside and outside The Core.
