Touchwood rides the extra mile for charity

Touchwood guests recently helped to raise over £6,000 for Cure Leukaemia, by supporting the centre’s Marketing Manager, Lucy Burnett in her bid to cycle an epic 300-miles.

The challenge saw Lucy use pedal power to make her way from London to Paris in aid of the worthy cause. Over the course of four days, Lucy joined forces with over 80 other cyclists to battle her way in unseasonably hot weather to keep pace, and cycle over tough terrains and undulating landscapes in an effort to complete the gruelling challenge.

Lucy Burnett commented: “Cure Leukaemia is a cause very close to our hearts here at Touchwood, so I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported me by making a donation. It was a truly humbling experience to hear other riders share their stories about how their families, and even they themselves, had conquered leukaemia. I’m so grateful for all the support I received in helping me to raise much-needed funds and increase awareness of Cure Leukaemia’s invaluable work.”
