      Meet the Team

Get to know the Solihull BID team, who work tirelessly all year round to help promote the town to a local and national audience and to ensure our town centre remains ahead of the curve.

      Melanie Palmer

      Chief Executive

Operational and strategic lead for Solihull BID and its 10-strong team including building relationships with key stakeholders, planning and delivering our overall BID projects to ensure our town centre remains the jewel in the crown of the Midlands and ahead of the curve as a visitor destination.

Villa supporter (through thick and thin! VTID). Self confessed make-up junkie and managing an obsession with all things Christmas…

      Steven Coney

      PR Manager

Steven manages all of our social media accounts and website activity and was behind the development of our new website you see before your very eyes. He also looks after the BID’s e-newsletters and helps to spread the BID’s message as far and wide as possible.

Steven oversees the BID Card scheme, ensuring all offers are current and all applications are processed. He also helped develop, and now maintains, the new Solihull BID Card mobile app. Alongside his digital duties, Steven manages our PR activity, helping the BID and its businesses gain exposure in the local media.

I am a big football fan, watch too much American sport and dream of visiting across the pond!

      Rachael Miller

      Business Host

Hi, I’m Rachael, I’ve worked in Solihull for the past five years in retail including in the lovely Touchwood. I have loved being a new member of the BID, working alongside a great team. I am constantly learning and embracing new challenges working with the Solihull business community and all that the town centre has to offer.

Being a Business Host means I have the opportunity to be hands on and face to face with the local community and BID businesses. I am looking forward to building a great working relationship with the whole of the town centre.

Outside of work, I’m a Mom so I’m hands on and love to get involved! Music is my go to and I love to dance. My motto is ‘there is always tomorrow to make a better today’. Always remember to smile – it can make someone’s day!

      Well Being Coordinator

I am Misty, I have a nominated role as the Well Being Coordinator for the BID team and relevant visitors. It’s a tough job but the extra biscuits and occasional cheese and ham sandwiches make it more bearable.

I enjoy long country walks, annoying small fluffy dogs, and love my collection of designer collars. Feel free to contact me on my Instagram account @MistySolihullBID or email my housemate below.
